MacOS - Apple Mail

This article provides details on how to resume email service on the Apple Mail email client on MacOS, after your email account has been migrated to Microsoft Servers.

 

Once you mail account has been migrated to Microsoft Servers, Apple Mail will display an Account Error warning.

Apple mail will require you to re-add the account. To do this:

  • Open the Mail application
  • Click on Mail in the top menu bar
  • Click Add Account

              

  • Select Exchange and click continue

              

  • Input your name and Vicbar email address then click Sign In

              

  • Click Sign In again

              

  • Input your Vicbar email password and click Sign In

              

  • Select the applications you would like to use with your Email account and click Done

              

The account is now added and emails will begin downloading.

 

There will be two versions of your account can now, remove the old account, to do this:

  • Open the Mail application
  • Click on Mail in the top menu bar
  • Click Accounts...

  • The accounts window will open, click on the old account and then click the Minus icon at the bottom of the window to remove the account.
