Papercut - Troubleshooting

This article provides information on common troubleshooting steps when you are not able to print to a BCL Papercut printer.

  • Ensure you are connected to the BCL network. If you connect via wifi ensure you are connected to BCL's wifi or your own router in chambers. You cannot print when tethering to a smart phones data network.
  • If you have a smartphone connected via USB to your computer disconnect it and try to print. Tethering can be enabled over USB which will prevent you from printing.
  • If you are connected to a VPN disconnect and try to print.
  • If you have recently installed new antivirus software try disabling it and check if you are able to print.
  • Cancel any jobs that are stuck in the print queue.
  • Remove and re-add the printer (see papercut setup articles)
